Air Force Chief of Staff

General Franck Lebe Ngama serves as the Deputy Air Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC). Born in Kinshasa on March 15, 1972, General Ngama embarked on a distinguished military career after graduating with honors from the Kinshasa Military Academy in 1994. He furthered his education in aerospace engineering at the École de l'Air in France, graduating in 1998.

 

Throughout his career, General Ngama has been a pivotal figure in advancing the capabilities of the Congolese Air Force. His leadership was instrumental during his tenure as Commander of the Air Operations Command, where he enhanced operational efficiency and spearheaded critical missions to safeguard national airspace. Promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2015, General Ngama's strategic vision and dedication to excellence culminated in his appointment as Deputy Air Chief in 2021.

 

In this role, he oversees the air force's readiness, strategic planning, and international collaborations, contributing significantly to the defense and security of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
